A Hometown Christmas

My first Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in Pleasant Hill was such a wonderful time. The entire day is filled with events to get you in the mood for the holiday season. The day began early in the morning as the Boy Scouts hosted pancakes with Santa. Later in the afternoon Santa came back for cookies and more visiting. Santa was a busy guy that day!

All of the area merchants spruced up the doors for the holidays and put out a welcoming mix of drinks and treats.  We opened the studio for a Holiday Special Photo Shoot, door prizes, and refreshments. In keeping with the Hometown theme I baked some gooey butter cake, a recipe from my hometown of St. Louis. The gooey butter cake was a hit along with the wassail {spiced cider punch}. I was in a full on sugar buzz by the end of the day.

It was so great to see so many clients stop by and bring the whole family.
