Until now I was very reluctant to release my digital negatives to portrait clients. There are just so many variables to manage in getting your digital files from the computer to a print. Each lab is unique and the quality can vary greatly from one print lab to the next. At a recent photography trade show I met with Mpix.com, one of my favorite print labs, to discuss some digital solutions. The result is the new Digital Collection. From your photo shoot, you will go online and choose your ten favorite poses. Those poses will be professionally retouched and prepared for printing and online use.
Before your DVD arrives your images will be loaded into your own Mpix.com account where you can order endless prints at consumer prices. Mpix.com is the consumer division of the Pro lab that I use and recommend. They do a great job of processing high-resolution professional images. You will also receive your images on a custom printed DVD with print release. Use your images in slide shows, cards, endless wallets and more.
Digital Collections start at $650 for 10 images. Additional poses can be added for $60 per image.
